We are a group of small animal practices based in Norfolk, first established in 1984. We are passionate about animal care and our skilled team of veterinarians and vet nurses are dedicated to providing the highest quality gold standard care for your animals. Because we love animals and strive to provide excellent continuity of care, we are open 365 days of the year and provide 24-hour emergency care. For your added convenience, there’s free parking for clients at all three of our practices.
Sam has worked in the vet industry since leaving school and qualifying as a vet nurse. Since 2006 she has focused on operational management, working within both a clinical and education setting within the Norfolk, Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire region. Sam has comprehensive knowledge of veterinary nurse training having been involved in teaching vet nurses for over 10 years, a role she really enjoyed before moving fully to people and operational management.
Her interests included providing the best clinical and client care to clients and their pets and she loves working with people, especially teaching and mentoring team members to constantly progress in order to improve standards.
Sam has lived in Norfolk with her husband and children since 2002; she absolutely loves living in Norfolk, especially the fantastic beaches, great places to eat and the wildlife. She has two elderly dogs called Jack and Jet, two adopted cats called Ollie and Leo, three bantams called Hilda, Matilda and Marigold and her daughters guinea pigs.
She is really looking forward to working with the team at The Grove.
Tracey has a ‘long-standing’ record with the practice; she has worked for The Grove for over 20 years. She lives in Fakenham with her husband Jamie and her two boys, Oliver and Edward. Her responsibilities in the practice are the daily running of the business and dealing with health and safety and HR issues. Tracey also has two dogs and loves Springer Spaniels.
Tracey is our head receptionist and has worked at The Grove since 2014. She is passionate about ensuring our clients have a positive experience whilst in the practice and enjoys working with the team at The Grove to ensure we deliver gold standard client care. Outside of work Tracey enjoys spending time with her family and friends and enjoys long walks. She also has two cats.
Debbie has been working for The Grove in Swaffham for six years as a receptionist. She has one dog called Arnie and three cats: Mollie, Snowy and Ed. She enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends and taking her dog on long walks in the countryside.
Amelia joined the team in February 2017 and has enjoyed getting to know clients and their pets. She has four pets at home, Rory and Tigger the cats and her dogs, Bella and Peach.
Chloe joined the team at Fakenham in January 2018 after completing a course in animal management. She has enjoyed getting to know the clients and their pets and likes to spend her time outside of work with her partner and family.
Deanna has lived in Norfolk since 2002 and joined the team in June 2018. She enjoys all aspects of her job, including meeting new people and their pets. At home Deanna has two Jack Russell Terriers named Daisy and Millie who she enjoys walking on the beach.
Tracey has worked as a receptionist at The Grove in Swaffham since 2007. She lives in Swaffham with her husband, four children and two cats, Cefer and Yoyo. When she has some spare time she enjoys going out to see live bands and catching up with friends.
Claire has worked for The Grove in Dereham since 2005. She has recently started her animal nursing assistant course and helps to run our puppy parties. Claire enjoys time with her family and keeps busy looking after two dogs, three cats, two chickens and three fish.
Charlotte has been working on reception since January 2016. She enjoys meeting clients and their pets, especially cats at quiet times when there’s a chance for a cuddle! She lives locally with her husband, young daughter and cat, Sox.
Tara started working for The Grove in 2016 and says the best part about her job is when she gets to meet clients and their pets. Outside of work Tara enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Christina has worked at The Grove since May 2015 and enjoys meeting clients and their pets. She also loves to walk her family dogs Troy and Fergie.
Vicky started at The Grove in October 2012. She has worked in nursing roles since she left school until she decided to change roles and join our reception team in January 2015. Outside work she enjoys spending time with her partner Ben, her Spaniel named Charlie and cat named Logan. Vicky also enjoys walking and doing agility.
Chris has worked as a receptionist at The Grove for the last six years. She primarily works in our Swaffham branch but also covers Fakenham and Dereham where needed. Prior to moving to Norfolk 10 years ago, Chris worked as a veterinary nurse for many years. She has always rescued animals over the years and currently has one cat.
Katie joined The Grove in 2012 as part of the reception team. Following the birth of her son in 2015, she changed roles to become an orthopaedic referral secretary. Katie is married with a son and two cats, Rewa and Mo. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and has recently taken an interest in running.
Gill joined The Grove in 2010 as one of our referral secretaries. She is a qualified medical secretary providing administrative support for The Grove and for Grove Referrals' busy orthopaedic surgeons. She lives in Fakenham with her husband Steve, their Beagle named Maisie and British Blue cat, Neela. Gill enjoys gardening, tap dancing and travelling and is also learning to play the piano.
Laura joined The Grove in 2005 as a receptionist and in 2007 her role changed to orthopaedic referral secretary. She provides administrative support for The Grove and for Grove Referrals' busy orthopaedic surgeons. Laura is married with two small children and a cat called Ella. Outside of The Grove she enjoys spending time with her family, is a keen reader and enjoys baking and music.
Joanne joined The Grove in 2008. She is responsible for the daily banking and general office admin, including pet insurance claims. She lives with her son Ryan and has two cats, Ebony and Josie.
Jan joined the team as a theatre technician in 2011. Jan is owned by a Bengal called ‘DuCati’ - named after her beloved Italian motorbike. She also has two Terriers, Stig and Livi, two tortoises TT and Marge, and not forgetting Brownie the hen.
Jan’s interests include gardening, travel, motorsports and feeding everyone in the practice with her delicious baking.
